Our organisation is now seeking to recruit a network infrastructure engineer, to be based in Singapore.

In this role, as an experienced network engineer, you will be responsible for transforming ideas/solutions/proposals into technical blueprints and follow up by leading/consulting respective project delivery teams to deliver the solution.



This role requires experience in the areas listed below:

  • Proven planning, implementation and migration experience of network-related services.
  • Team player with strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge in SCRUM or DevOps.
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and procedures.
  • Possess the following soft skills and attributes:
    • Ability to justify new initiatives and recommend new initiatives to the stakeholder(s)
    • Conceptualise the concept of operation for the new initiatives
    • Familiar with tendering process, defining requirements in tender specification
    • Team player by leading discussion between internal teams (Operations, Security, Contract) and external product principals or system integrator
    • Requires minimal supervision from supervisor
    • Always keeping up to date on the latest product roadmap and best practices
    • Define policies and procedures related to Endpoint Management.
    • Good written and verbal communication, with the ability to present and communicate effectively with a non-technical audience.
    • Provide inputs to optimise and automate workflows and processes
    • Able to work independently and as a good team player with analytical, management and planning skills
    • Dynamic and with good analytical/conceptual thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Expertise in Checkpoint and Fortinet firewall network infrastructure design, implementation and support complex network with F5 LTM (CCIE is a strong ‘plus’)
  • Expertise in Firewall implementation and support (Checkpoint certification is a strong “plus”)
  • Advanced knowledge of network architecture design, implementation and support
  • Practical experience in deploying network and security equipment, such as Cisco routers, switches, wireless infrastructure, firewalls and load balancers (F5 LTM)
  • In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, IP multicast, QoS, VPC, Spanning tree with strong deployment and troubleshooting experience
  • Proficiency in handling complex IT-related projects: from writing a proposal, initiating, & planning projects, to executing, monitoring/controlling projects, until and including project closure.
  • Familiarity with Market access across the Asia Pacific, and ability to utilize network knowledge and experience to improve network infrastructure performance
  • Familiarity with network monitoring and troubleshooting/analysis tools, such as Solarwind, Netscout InfiniStream, WireShark, NetFluke, ServOne etc.
  • Proficiency in managing Checkpoint and Fortinet firewalls

The successful candidate must also have:

  • Certification in Networking and Azure fundamentals
  • Certification in ITIL foundation


Your key responsibility in this role will be to deliver assignments, including:

  • Lead and work with outsourced service providers and product principals to manage the delivery, operations as well as Tech Refresh on the technology solutions for LAN/WAN and related services:
    • Cisco/Aruba networking solution;
    • Network Access Control;
    • Wireless Network; and
    • Firewall and routers.
  • Translate the technical solution/design into technical specifications and functional requirements.
  • Work with infrastructure architects to rationalise the technical design and ensure the solution works well with Government infrastructure, policies, standards and security requirements.
  • Ensure the operations process and controls are documented and operationalised
  • Explore new solutions and technologies, integrate learning and recommendations for operational efficiency and continuously improve the infrastructure for a better user experience.
  • Plan, design and support Technology Refresh and migration activities for the infrastructure services.
  • Ensure smooth service delivery and implementation within the business context.
  • Translate the organisational/business requirements to technical requirements. Produce the required documents for semi-complex (or) complex systems.
  • Establish governing principles for network design and deployment.
  • Lead the solution handover process from presales to project team and identify any solution defects that may hinder the success of the projects.
  • Support gathering of end-user information for implementation planning.
  • Analyze technical needs, requirements, and state of the network’s infrastructure design, integration, and operations.
  • Detail an infrastructure installation and testing plan for suitable site locations, resolving infrastructure malfunctions where required.
  • Work with technical management to design networks that effectively reflect business needs, service-level and availability requirements, and other technology parameters.
  • Determine requirements and develop a phase test plan, identifying optimal schedules and means for executing test scripts.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot and provide end-to-end management of infrastructure disruptions or technical issues encountered by users, and plan infrastructure upgrade activities.
